Cyrene (Shahat)

Cyrene was founded in 631 B.C. when the adventurous Greeks steeled in Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar flourished in fourth century by commercial, Agriculture activities considered the biggest archaeology.
City in Al-Jabal Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar region, the ruins of the city still present to today are the evidence of the passage by the fascinating human arts as the temple of Zeus, the temple Artemis, the temple of Aphrodite and the temple of Apollo.
By the Roman rule some modified building which still evidence of the city as Roman baths, theater, hercul corridord many of temple and statues, out side wall which built in the first and the second centuries B.C. and many churches by Byzantine.
Near by the city there are cemeteries sculptured in the rocks mostly designed by Greeks style.
The most important thing the visitor should see is the museum located in Cyrene ruins region which in chide the ruins and discoveries passed by different eras through this city.
